Amidst the growth of Afrobeats in the West, Rick Ross is now recognising a new crop of talent pushing the boundaries of Nigerian and African music. Rick Ross has also performed in Nigeria in the Rhythm Unplugged concert and even shot a music video during his time in the country.

On the evening of Aug. 23, 8-year-old Jurnee Thompson was watching pre-season football games at Soldan High School in St. Louis with family members — her cousin and her two sisters — as a reward for her recent good behavior. She had just started the third grade.

Taylor Swift pulled all her music from Spotify on Monday, save for one song, in a move that’s got many of her fans—and especially the music streaming service—calling desperately for her return.
The Shake It Off singer hasn’t been too keen on sharing her music with Spotify. Swift’s most recent album, 1989, wasn’t on the service, and she initially held off on allowing Spotify to stream her 2012 album, Red.
